SMC to ship 10G ethernet solutions but they sure are pricy!


Doing the math, if I had to purchase 100 Servers for VMware or Citrix virtualization, and had to replace 6 NICs with 2 of these, I'd be spending , if I went for 2 NICs from SMC then at the retail price of those NICs I'd get a lot more volume and speed as well, probably, but I'd be spending a whopping 260,000 Euros or $ 400,000 just on the NICs!!!
