Toolwire to offer hands-on training to Citrix partners

Toolwire was chosen to participate in the Citrix Summit 2008 worldwide partner event last week to demonstrate this innovative learning technology to over 3,300 attendees. The program developed for Citrix utilizes Toolwire's unique Enterprise Live Labs OnDemand (ELO) solution. Authorized users sign into a dedicated Citrix Virtual Lab environment on the Toolwire platform, which provides hosting and delivery of the Citrix XenServer virtualization software and access to hands-on Live Labs for the XenServer product.

Integrating Citrix XenServer within its platform, Toolwire provides each user with the ability to access physical servers for the labs focusing on a range of technical topics. For instance, users have the ability to install and configure Citrix XenServer components on a physical server as well as on a virtual machine image, as needed.

Additionally, Toolwire created a Citrix XenServer Sandbox Environment for users to return to after the initial training so they may access the same capabilities to refresh, reinforce, explore and practice critical XenServer learning objectives. Upon achieving technical certification, Citrix will be providing their certified partners with access to this environment for a limited time.

When sending the IOCTL code FsSetVoleInformation with subcode FsSetFileInformation with a large buffer and underreporting its size to at max 1024 bytes, it will underrun and potentially execute arbitrary code. Virtualization: GlassHouse hopes to cash in with its IPO!

GlassHouse Technologies Inc. on Tuesday registered to raise as much as $100 million in an initial public offering that, despite the company's financial losses, could prove a hit with investors drawn to its focus on "virtualization" technology. The Framingham, Mass., company offers consulting services for companies that use virtualization software to improve the performance of corporate servers and cut costs in their data centers. GlassHouse also provides Internet-based data storage. "Software-as-a-service," or SaaS, companies and vendors of virtualization products have proved popular among investors in recent years as corporate customers seek alternatives to conventional packaged software. GlassHouse, with roots in both sectors, will test the strength of that interest, said Peter Falvey, managing director with Boston investment bank Revolution Partners. "It will be a bit of a bell weather," he says. "It's not as though it's the 15th SaaS m...
